Jack Schlossberg Criticizes 'Love Story' Series, Defends Aggressive Social Media Posts

Jack Schlossberg, grandson of former President John F. Kennedy and nephew of JFK Jr., has publicly criticized the 'Love Story' series about his uncle and Carolyn Bessette, calling it a "grotesque display" of someone else's life. In an interview with CBS News, he argued that executive producer Ryan Murphy knows nothing about his family and is profiting from a distorted version of their history.

Schlossberg urged Murphy to donate some of the show's profits to causes championed by JFK Jr., such as justice initiatives or the JFK Library. He emphasized that the series should not be treated as an accurate account, describing it as "fiction with a capital F." The criticism comes amid broader concerns about the misuse of the Kennedy name in recent political developments.

Schlossberg also defended his aggressive social media posts targeting Vice President JD Vance's wife, Usha Vance. In one post, he superimposed his face on one of her children, which some have described as "creepy" and polarizing. He denied crossing a line, arguing that the propaganda issued by the White House and Vance justifies such actions.

"I think what's crossing a line is the propaganda that we see issued every single day by the White House and Vance," Schlossberg said. "So, what are we going to do, hold back? Hold back on our sense of humor and not tease them, make fun of them back?"

Schlossberg encouraged other Democrats to adopt a more aggressive tone in their political attacks, citing the perceived freedom others have to say whatever they want about his family. He is currently running for Congress in New York's 12th district to replace retiring Rep. Jerry Nadler.

The 'Love Story' series has gained significant attention since its release on Hulu and FX, with reviewers praising it as a fresh and emotional reinterpretation of the couple's life. Despite the criticism from Schlossberg, the show continues to be popular among viewers.
