Jack Horner, a paleontologist who served as a consultant on the 'Jurassic Park' films and was formerly affiliated with Chapman University in Orange, California, has parted ways with the institution following revelations about his association with Jeffrey Epstein.
The separation comes after emails between Horner and Epstein were released by the U.S. Department of Justice. In these communications, Horner expressed gratitude for a visit to Epstein's ranch in New Mexico in 2012 and discussed potential research funding from him. The emails also show that Horner sought approximately $8,650 for his 'DinoChicken' project.
Horner has denied any wrongdoing but acknowledged regretting not investigating Epstein's background more thoroughly at the time. He stated that he did not observe anything suspicious during his visits to the ranch and was unaware of the full extent of Epstein's crimes until they became public in 2019.
